One of the first things God taught me when I started full time ministry is that He does not need a (P.R.) Public Relations spokesman, meaning that, I don’t need to constantly try to always put everything in the best, most acceptable, light possible. Nor do I need to constantly try to shade and pervert the word of God to make it more digestible to the lactose intolerant masses. All I have to do is say what God tells me to say, and let the words of God rest upon their own authority. The wisdom of this is that if you are continually trying to water down the truth to make it easier for people to accept, you have actually sold them on a false Gospel filled with half-truths. But the world has convinced many that a Christian is always perceived as sweet and quiet as a church mouse. They never offend and never make people feel uncomfortable. They are to always know their place and never bring their faith into the public square. They should keep it at home and within the church. The greatest error Christians have been led to believe is that they must be invited to present the truth, and need permission to have a chair at the table of life.  If you’re a “good little Christian”, you can be allowed to be around the “cool kids!” We have been taught to forsake our saltiness and put out our lights. BUT NO MORE, BROTHERS AND SISTERS! This is not God’s way and we have not been told to hold our tongue. We must be motivated by the love of God, and speak the hard truths in love to a dying world. There are time and seasons for all things. Sometimes being patient and enduring is the best path. But we should never perceive it as the only path. As we studied in our “Baby Jesus Syndrome” Bible Study, Jesus was no easy going preacher, nor was Paul, or Peter, etc. There is a time to be loud with boldness and a direct delivery of the truth. That is what this Bible study is about today. Being willing to be Bold As Lions, not victim-riddled sheep too scared of the world to speak the truth in love. So, do you fear God or Man? Your words will reveal the truth.

    Be The One.

Ezekiel 22:30  “I looked for a man from among them who would repair the wall and stand in the gap before me on behalf of the land, so that I would not destroy it, but I found no one.

Isaiah 6:8 “I heard the voice of the Lord say, “Whom will I send? Who will go on our behalf?” I answered, “Here I am, send me!”

    Let Your Light Shine!

Matthew 5:13-16 “You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.  (14)  You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden.  (15)  Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house.  (16)  Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

    God Will Fill You With His Words.

1 Peter 3:15 “But set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts and always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you possess.”

Psalms 81:10 “I am Yahweh, your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.”  

    How Is This Done?

Luke 12:11-12 “When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, don’t be anxious how or what you will answer, or what you will say;  (12)  for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you must say.”

    Go Forth And Declare The Words Of God.

Jeremiah 1:7-8  “But Jehovah said to me, Do not say, I am a boy; for you shall go to all that I shall send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.  (8)  Do not be afraid of their faces; for I am with you to deliver you, says Jehovah.”

Jeremiah 1:17 “You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and say to them all that I command you. Don’t be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them.”

    Regardless Of The Reception, Preach On Without Restraint.

Ezekiel 2:4-7 “The children are impudent and stiff-hearted. I am sending you to them, and you shall tell them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh.’  (5)  They, whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse, for they are a rebellious house, yet they will know that there has been a prophet among them.  (6)  You, son of man, don’t be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you do dwell among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.  (7)  You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse; for they are most rebellious.”

    You Must Speak And Do What Pleases God, Not Man.

Galatians 1:10 “For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.”

1 Thessalonians 2:4-6  “But even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts.  (5)  For neither were we at any time found using words of flattery, as you know, nor a cloak of covetousness (God is witness),  (6)  nor seeking glory from men (neither from you nor from others), when we might have claimed authority as apostles of Christ.”

    Just Like Jesus In Words.

John 12:49-50 “For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.  (50)  I know that his commandment is eternal life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak.”

For whatever things he does, these the Son also does likewise.  (20)  For the Father has affection for the Son, and shows him all things that he himself does. He will show him greater works than these, that you may marvel.”

    Do As You Are Directed By God.

1 Corinthians 9:16-18 “For if I preach the Good News, I have nothing to boast about; for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me, if I don’t preach the Good News.  (17)  For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward. But if not of my own will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.  (18)  What then is my reward? That, when I preach the Good News, I may present the Good News of Christ without charge, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News.”

By God’s Power Alone

    It Is Okay- Know Your Position & Thrive!

1 Corinthians 1:25-29 “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.  (26)  For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble;  (27)  but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;  (28)  and God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,  (29)  that no flesh should boast before God.”

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 “Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me.  (9)  He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.  (10)  Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.”

    It Is God In You That Gives You The Power.

Zechariah 4:6 “Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is Yahweh’s word to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies.”

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.”

Isaiah 40:28-31 “Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard? The everlasting God, Yahweh, The Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn’t faint. He isn’t weary. His understanding is unsearchable.  (29)  He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.  (30)  Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall;  (31)  But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.”

    Just Ask For The Power And Strength To Do His Will.

John 14:11-14 “Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works’ sake.  (12)  Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.  (13)  Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  (14)  If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.”

He Is Listening And Will Answer You

1 John 5:13-15  “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.  (14)  This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.  (15)  And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.”

John 16:23-24 “In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.  (24)  Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.

    How We Know We Can Be Sure Of Him Answering Our Prayers.

1 John 3:22-24 “and whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.  (23)  This is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as he commanded.  (24)  He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.”

GOD Is Your Strength & Defender

Psalms 27:13-14 “I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living.  (14)  Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh.”

Hebrews 13:5-6  “Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”  (6)  So that with good courage we say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

Psalms 31:23-24 “Oh love Yahweh, all you his saints! Yahweh preserves the faithful, and fully recompenses him who behaves arrogantly.  (24)  Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in Yahweh.”

Isaiah 41:9-13  “You whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth, and called from its corners, and said to you, ‘You are my servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away.’  (10)  Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.  (11)  Behold, all those who are incensed against you will be disappointed and confounded. Those who strive with you will be like nothing, and shall perish.  (12)  You will seek them, and won’t find them, even those who contend with you. Those who war against you will be as nothing, as a non-existent thing.  (13)  For I, Yahweh your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I will help you.’”

You are mine.  (2)  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.  (3)  For I am Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Romans 8:34-39 “Who is he who condemns? Isaiah 50:7-9 “But the Sovereign LORD helps me, so I am not humiliated. For that reason I am steadfastly resolved; I know I will not be put to shame.  (8)  The one who vindicates me is close by. Who dares to argue with me? Let us confront each other! Who is my accuser? Let him challenge me!  (9)  Look, the Sovereign LORD helps me. Who dares to condemn me? Look, all of them will wear out like clothes; a moth will eat away at them.

Psalms 25:2-5 “My God, I have trusted in you. Don’t let me be shamed. Don’t let my enemies triumph over me.  (3)  Yes, no one who waits for you shall be shamed. They shall be shamed who deal treacherously without cause.  (4)  Show me your ways, Yahweh. Teach me your paths.  (5)  Guide me in your truth, and teach me, For you are the God of my salvation, I wait for you all day long.”

Philippians 1:18-21 “What then? Nevertheless, in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached. And I rejoice in this. Yet, also I will rejoice.  (19)  For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,  (20)  according to my earnest expectation and hope that I shall be ashamed in nothing, but as always now Christ shall be magnified in my body with all boldness, whether it is by life or by death.  (21)  For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Psalms 121:1-8 “I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from?  (2)  My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.  (3)  He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.  (4)  Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.  (5)  Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand.  (6)  The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.  (7)  Yahweh will keep you from all evil. God Will Avenge You His Servant

2 Corinthians 4:7-12 “But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves.  (8)  We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair;  (9)  pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;  (10)  always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.  (11)  For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh.  (12)  So then death works in us, but life in you.”

    The Outcome.

Deuteronomy 33:26-27 “There is no one like God, Jeshurun, who rides on the heavens for your help, in his Excellency on the skies.  (27)  The eternal God is your dwelling place. Underneath are the everlasting arms. He thrust out the enemy from before you, and said, ‘Destroy!’”

Psalms 138:6-8 “For though Yahweh is high, yet he looks after the lowly; but the proud, he knows from afar.  (7)  Though I walk in the middle of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me.  (8)  Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me; your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands.”

2 Thessalonians 1:5-10 “This is evidence of God’s righteous judgment, to make you worthy of the kingdom of God, for which in fact you are suffering.  (6)  For it is right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,  (7)  and to you who are being afflicted to give rest together with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels.  (8)  With flaming fire he will mete out punishment on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.  (9)  They will undergo the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his strength,  (10)  when he comes to be glorified among his saints and admired on that day among all who have believed – and you did in fact believe our testimony.”

Deuteronomy 32:39-43  “See now that I, indeed I, am he!” says the LORD, “and there is no other god besides me. I kill and give life, I smash and I heal, and none can resist my power.  (40)  For I raise up my hand to heaven, and say, ‘As surely as I live forever,  (41)  I will sharpen my lightning-like sword, and my hand will grasp hold of the weapon of judgment; I will execute vengeance on my foes, and repay those who hate me!  (42)  I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword will devour flesh – the blood of the slaughtered and captured, the chief of the enemy’s leaders!’”  (43)  Cry out, O nations, with his people, for he will avenge his servants’ blood; he will take vengeance against his enemies, and make atonement for his land and people.

Nahum 1:2-9 “Yahweh is a jealous God and avenges. Yahweh avenges and is full of wrath. Yahweh takes vengeance on his adversaries, and he maintains wrath against his enemies.  (3)  Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in power, and will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. Yahweh has his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.  (4)  He rebukes the sea, and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers. Bashan languishes, and Carmel; and the flower of Lebanon languishes.  (5)  The mountains quake before him, and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, yes, the world, and all who dwell in it.  (6)  Who can stand before his indignation? Who can endure the fierceness of his anger? His wrath is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken apart by him.  (7)  Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.  (8)  But with an overflowing flood, he will make a full end of her place, and will pursue his enemies into darkness.  (9)  What do you plot against Yahweh? He will make a full end. Affliction won’t rise up the second time.”

    It Is Not A Matter Of  If “He Can,” It Is A Matter Of “He Will!”

Romans 12:19 “Do not avenge yourselves, dear friends, but give place to God’s wrath, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.”

Isaiah 49:22-23 “So says the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I will lift up My hand to the nations, and have set up My banner to the people; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.  (23)  And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nurses. They shall bow to you, faces to the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am Jehovah; by whom they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.”

Revelation 3:8-10 “I know your works. Behold, I have given before you an open door, and no one can shut it. For you have a little strength and have kept My Word and have not denied My name.  (9)  Behold, I give out of those of the synagogue of Satan, those saying themselves to be Jews and are not, but lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.  (10)  Because you have kept the Word of My patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation which will come upon all the habitable world, to try those who dwell upon the earth.”

Get Out There & Be The Salt & Light You Are Called To Be

John 15:8-14 “In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples.  (9)  Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.  (10)  If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love.  (11)  I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.  (12)  “This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.  (13)  Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.  (14)  You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.”

Hebrews 12:1-2 “Therefore let’s also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with perseverance the race that is set before us,  (2)  looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

    Get Equipped In Your Armor With Prayer.

Ephesians 6:10-18 “Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.  (11)  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  (12)  For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.  (13)  Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.  (14)  Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,  (15)  and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace;  (16)  above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.  (17)  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;  (18)  with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints:”

Hold Your Tongue No Longer!We are told in Romans 10:17 faith come by hearing, hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:15 tells is we are sent to tell God’s words. If you refuse to open up and declare God’s word how then will they have the faith that leads to repentance? You see cowardice is leading to the death of a generation. We must get over our own desire of comfort and acceptance, and care for God and mans souls. Tel the truth in love in boldness before a sick and dying world. And never ever ask the worlds permission to do so. 

You Are Commissioned Officers Of Jesus The Christ 

Matthew 28:18-20 “Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.  (19)  Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  (20)  teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
